<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your child has done more than 8 weeks of skiing. He has a perfect control on all types of slopes, making large turns, and short turns on red runs. He knows how to ski safely in the resort, respecting the Safe skiers rules.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Be able to change the rhythm of his turns on a black slope, and enhance his carving technique. Evolve on varied terrain, link jumps in the snowpark. Always follows the safety rules on the slopes and is able to find his way around on a map, discussions about the "mountain culture".<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the Diamond Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize. They will be defined by the levels, age and wishes of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Throughout the week, the training will be focused on obtaining a more refined and efficient technique on all types of slopes and snow. The diversity of playgrounds will allow them to discover new sensations and improve while having fun. They practice skicross, learn techniques used in competitions, and continue to learn freestyle in the snowpark. They also acquire the vocabulary specific to each discipline and deepen their knowledge of ski and mountain culture.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> The lessons are taking place from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Diamond ski group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and have the opportunity to change groups during the week. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on fridays, under the Diamond meeting point flag. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts and a snack for the break ! <br></p>

SNOWBOARD SILVER - 6 full days
<p><strong>Your Experience :</strong> You can control your speed, turn using the toe and heel edge on green slopes.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Being able to do your turns on blue slopes. Introduction to the snowpark, 180° slides and switch riding. Descovering more of the specific vocabulary of snowboarding. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> The meeting point is at the top of the prosneige nursery slope at the black flag « snowboard silver » You will meet the instructor and the rest of the group. After a quick check of your gear, you will start warming up doing your turns. The goal is to improuve your turns to be able to ride blues slopes. You will learn some more freestyle, flat tricks, 180 slides, switch and the ollie/nollie. The instructor can also introduce you to the snowpark. You will also work on the snowboard vocabulary.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Silver Snowboard group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 adults (from 13 years old). Everybody progresses at their own paces and have the opportunity to change groups during the week. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in the pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>

The Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau at 1860 m above sea level, and its skiable area enjoys maximum exposure to the sun. So enjoy a day’s skiing in the sun: up to 7 1/2 hours a day of sun in December, up to 11 hours a day in April. The French Weather Bureau has recorded an average of 300 days’ sunshine a year at the resort! Also, on a fine day, you can see 1/5e of France from Pic Blanc.
