<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your children have a couple of days to a week of experience. They know how to put the skis on, and get up by themselves. They know how to change direction with the snowplough position and stop on green slopes.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Do Snowplough turns on green slopes, discover what “Parallel skis” means, move around easily with skis on using side stepping and duck climb.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, your child gets to know the instructors and the other members of the White Bear level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize on the big magic carpets in front of our school. The groups will be defined by the levels and age of the children. As they learn new skills and improve during the week, they will practice with their instructor on green and blue slopes as well as the fun park. They will be using cabinlifts and chairlifts. The beginner ski pass is mandatory on the first day. <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. <br> <strong>More :</strong> We also offer a full package for lunchtime, including a complete meal at the restaurant and activities with the instructors before the afternoon programs. The White Bears group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own pace and your child has the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on Fridays, at the top of our kindergarten. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget their Skipass and a snack in their pocket for the break ! <br></p>

2ND SKI 6 mornings
<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your children have skied in between 2 and 4 weeks. They are confident on blue slopes and start to turn parallel.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Make parallel turns on blue slopes, master the side slipping technique, anticipate ground movements and be able to do some skating to move around. Ski with poles without them to be a struggle. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the 2nd Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize on a blue slope. The groups will be defined by the levels and age of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back on easy slopes. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Those exercises will facilitate their parallel turns on blue slopes. Regarding the evolution, they will get introduced to red slopes. They will speak more in depth of the Safe skiers rules. <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday (first day) from 10:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The 2nd ski group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and children have the opportunity to change groups during the week. They can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on fridays, under the 2nd ski meeting point flag. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in their pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>

LEVEL 1 - 6 full days
<p><strong>Your skiing background:</strong> From a few days to 1 week of experience. You know how to move on flat terrain and uphill with your skis on. You can ski in snowplough and know how to stop when you are skiing at slow pace on a green run.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Develop your confidence, accept the speed, have notions of skidding. Make snowplow turns on blue runs. Deepen your knowledge of the environment, rules of conduct for skiers, integrate into the flow of practitioners in safety..<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong>On the first day, you meet your instructor and your group under the A1 flag. It is possible that there are several groups in your level. In that case, the instructors will harmonize the groups according to the experience and desires of each skier. Once the groups are homogeneous, your ski instructor will suggest exercises to get you back on your feet on green slopes. As the week unfolds, and with the help of exercises and repetition, you will learn to bring your skis parallel in between turns, to skid and to evolve with ease on blue runs.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong>Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. Everyone progresses at their own pace, and you have the option of changing groups during the week. The adult group ski lessons are excellent for progress. Indeed, the daily sessions allow you to come back on difficulties encountered the day before, and to improve technical points of your skiing.</p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong>Don't forget your skipass, a snack to keep your energy level up and sunscreen!<br></p>

The Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau at 1860 m above sea level, and its skiable area enjoys maximum exposure to the sun. So enjoy a day’s skiing in the sun: up to 7 1/2 hours a day of sun in December, up to 11 hours a day in April. The French Weather Bureau has recorded an average of 300 days’ sunshine a year at the resort! Also, on a fine day, you can see 1/5e of France from Pic Blanc.
