<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your child has done more than 8 weeks of skiing. He has a perfect control on all types of slopes, making large turns, and short turns on red runs. He knows how to ski safely in the resort, respecting the Safe skiers rules.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Be able to change the rhythm of his turns on a black slope, and enhance his carving technique. Evolve on varied terrain, link jumps in the snowpark. Always follows the safety rules on the slopes and is able to find his way around on a map, discussions about the "mountain culture".<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the Diamond Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize. They will be defined by the levels, age and wishes of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Throughout the week, the training will be focused on obtaining a more refined and efficient technique on all types of slopes and snow. The diversity of playgrounds will allow them to discover new sensations and improve while having fun. They practice skicross, learn techniques used in competitions, and continue to learn freestyle in the snowpark. They also acquire the vocabulary specific to each discipline and deepen their knowledge of ski and mountain culture.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday (first day) from 10:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Diamond ski group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and have the opportunity to change groups during the week. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on fridays, under the Diamond meeting point flag. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts and a snack for the break ! <br></p>

LEVEL 3 - 6 afternoons
<p><strong>Your skiing background :</strong>You have already skied for 5 to 10 weeks. You are comfortable with your equipment. You ski with ease on red runs, parallel skis with vertical movement. You can control your speed and trajectory on all types of slopes.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong>Linking turns with various radiuses, starting to ski on diverse terrain, refining carving technique. Introduction to off-piste skiing and its safety rules.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, you meet your instructor and your group under the A2 flag. It is possible that there are several groups in your level. In this case, the instructors will harmonize the groups according to the experience and desires of each one. Once the groups are homogeneous, your ski instructor will suggest some exercises to get back on your feet on blue and red runs. Over the course of the week and through exercises and repetition,You will refine your technique, discover new sensations, and share new experiences with your group. The instructor will show you different exercises to practice parallel turns on all types of trails. You will gain confidence and skills to move to the next level safely.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong>The lessons are taking place from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date.<br> <strong>More :</strong> Class 3 adult ski group lessons are limited to 8 people. Everyone progresses at their own pace, and you have the option of changing groups during the week. The adult group ski lessons are excellent for progress. Indeed, the daily sessions allow you to come back on difficulties encountered the day before, and to improve technical points of your skiing. The group will be encouraging, and will help you challenge yourself. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don’t forget your lift pass ! We advise you to take a 3 Valleys ski pass. If you wish to take the ski pass of the resort only, ask your instructor which days he/she will go to the 3 Valleys. In this case, you will have the possibility to buy an extension the day before the course. <br></p>

1ST SKI 6 mornings
<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your children have done between 1 and 3 weeks of skiing. They know how to do snowplough turns and stop on green and blue slopes. They can also get up on their own after a fall, and move around using the side stepping technique or the duck climb.They were also introduced to the parallel position on flat terrain. <br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Learning the first steps of parallel turns such as parallel crossings and side slipping on easy green and blue slopes. Challenge their balance on a bumpy course. Discover the Safe skiers rules and respect them. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the 1st Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize on a green slope. The groups will be defined by the levels and age of the children. As the week goes on, they will practice with different exercises to achieve their weekly goal and gain confidence skiing on blue slopes. Regarding the evolution, the ski poles will be introduced to them during the week.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday (first day) from 10:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The 1st ski group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and children have the opportunity to change groups during the week. They can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on Fridays, in front of the ski school. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in the pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>

The Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau at 1860 m above sea level, and its skiable area enjoys maximum exposure to the sun. So enjoy a day’s skiing in the sun: up to 7 1/2 hours a day of sun in December, up to 11 hours a day in April. The French Weather Bureau has recorded an average of 300 days’ sunshine a year at the resort! Also, on a fine day, you can see 1/5e of France from Pic Blanc.
