<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your children have skied in between 2 and 4 weeks. They are confident on blue slopes and start to turn parallel.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Make parallel turns on blue slopes, master the side slipping technique, anticipate ground movements and be able to do some skating to move around. Ski with poles without them to be a struggle. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the 2nd Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize on a blue slope. The groups will be defined by the levels and age of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back on easy slopes. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Those exercises will facilitate their parallel turns on blue slopes. Regarding the evolution, they will get introduced to red slopes. They will speak more in depth of the Safe skiers rules. <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. <br> <strong>More :</strong> We also offer a full package for lunchtime, including a complete meal at the restaurant and activities with the instructors before the afternoon programs. The group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own pace and your child has the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on Fridays, under the flag of your child’s group meeting point. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget their Skipass and a snack in their pocket for the break ! <br></p>

The Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau at 1860 m above sea level, and its skiable area enjoys maximum exposure to the sun. So enjoy a day’s skiing in the sun: up to 7 1/2 hours a day of sun in December, up to 11 hours a day in April. The French Weather Bureau has recorded an average of 300 days’ sunshine a year at the resort! Also, on a fine day, you can see 1/5e of France from Pic Blanc.
