<p><strong>Your skiing background :</strong> From 2 to 5 weeks of experience. You already know how to ski parallel on blue slopes.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Improve your parallel turns with vertical movement, start skiing on red runs. Learn how to anticipate terrain movements, how to ski without wasting your energy. Move around the resort integrating the flow of skiers and following the skier's rules.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, you meet your instructor and your group under the A2 flag. It is possible that there are several groups in your level. In this case, the instructors will harmonize the groups according to the experience and desires of each one. Once the groups are homogeneous, your ski instructor will suggest some exercises to get back on your feet on blue runs. Over the course of the week and through exercises and repetition, you will integrate movement into your practice, using different techniques. Your turns become more fluid and require less effort. You gain confidence and skills to ski safely and autonomously on red runs.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong>The lessons are taking place from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date.<br> <strong>More :</strong> Class 2 adult ski group lessons are limited to 8 people. Everyone progresses at their own pace, and you have the option of changing groups during the week. The adult group ski lessons are excellent for progress. Indeed, the daily sessions allow you to come back on difficulties encountered the day before, and to improve technical points of your skiing. The group will be encouraging, and will help you challenge yourself. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Ski-pass is needed. Don't forget your sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>

3RD SKI 6 afternoons
"<p><strong>Skiing background : </strong> Your child has skied in between 3 to 5 weeks. He/she skis parallel on blue slopes and already had a first experience on red slopes. Skates to move around if needed, and anticipate ground mouvements. <br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Parallel turns, both short and long on red slopes. Learning new techniques to improve parallel stop. Your child will identify where it is safe to stop on the slopes, and regulate his speed according to his environment. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the 3rd Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize on a blue or easy red slope. The groups will be defined by the levels and age of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back on easier slopes. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Those exercises will facilitate their parallel turns and stops on red slopes by improving the position.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong>The lessons are taking place from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The 3rd ski group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and children have the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on fridays, under the 3rd ski meeting point flag.</p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in their pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br>"</p>

<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> You have never skied before or just once, a couple of hours. On snow or on dry slopes. <br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Discover the environment, and the ski gear. Move around skis on, with ease. Ski down green slopes using snowplough turns.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> Your week begins under the “Beginner” flag where you’ll meet your ski instructor and the group. You will then walk towards an easy part of the beginner area ( just a couple of meters below the meeting point ) where you’ll start your skiing journey. The instructor will show you different exercises to practice. With one ski on, then two. On a flat terrain, uphill, and finally, when you’re ready downhill. You’ll learn how to turn and stop, and take the moving carpet to get to the top of the slope. You will gain confidence and skills to get safely to the next level.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date.&lt;<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Beginner group ski lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 adults. Everybody progresses at their own paces and you have the opportunity to change groups during the week. You can also enjoy some breaks and warm yourself up in our chalet on the slopes. Group lessons are an excellent choice. Indeed, the daily sessions allow you to improve the technical points of your skiing and to overcome the difficulties you encountered the day before. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget your beginner skipass, a snack to keep your energy level up and sunscreen!<br></p>

The Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau at 1860 m above sea level, and its skiable area enjoys maximum exposure to the sun. So enjoy a day’s skiing in the sun: up to 7 1/2 hours a day of sun in December, up to 11 hours a day in April. The French Weather Bureau has recorded an average of 300 days’ sunshine a year at the resort! Also, on a fine day, you can see 1/5e of France from Pic Blanc.
