<p><strong>Your skiing background:</strong> From a few days to 1 week of experience. You know how to move on flat terrain and uphill with your skis on. You can ski in snowplough and know how to stop when you are skiing at slow pace on a green run.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Develop your confidence, accept the speed, have notions of skidding. Make snowplow turns on blue runs. Deepen your knowledge of the environment, rules of conduct for skiers, integrate into the flow of practitioners in safety..<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong>On the first day, you meet your instructor and your group under the A1 flag. It is possible that there are several groups in your level. In that case, the instructors will harmonize the groups according to the experience and desires of each skier. Once the groups are homogeneous, your ski instructor will suggest exercises to get you back on your feet on green slopes. As the week unfolds, and with the help of exercises and repetition, you will learn to bring your skis parallel in between turns, to skid and to evolve with ease on blue runs.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong>Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date.<br> <strong>More :</strong>Class 1 adult ski group lessons are limited to 8 people. Everyone progresses at their own pace, and you have the option of changing groups during the week. The adult group ski lessons are excellent for progress. Indeed, the daily sessions allow you to come back on difficulties encountered the day before, and to improve technical points of your skiing.</p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong>Don't forget your skipass, a snack to keep your energy level up and sunscreen!<br></p>

SNOWBOARD SILVER - 6 full days
<p><strong>Your Experience :</strong> You can control your speed, turn using the toe and heel edge on green slopes.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Being able to do your turns on blue slopes. Introduction to the snowpark, 180° slides and switch riding. Descovering more of the specific vocabulary of snowboarding. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> The meeting point is at the top of the prosneige nursery slope at the black flag « snowboard silver » You will meet the instructor and the rest of the group. After a quick check of your gear, you will start warming up doing your turns. The goal is to improuve your turns to be able to ride blues slopes. You will learn some more freestyle, flat tricks, 180 slides, switch and the ollie/nollie. The instructor can also introduce you to the snowpark. You will also work on the snowboard vocabulary.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. SNOWBOARD BRONZE - 6 full days
<p><strong>Your Experience :</strong> Beginner, you have never tried snowboarding before or just a couple of hours (or on dry slopes).<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Controlling speed with a heel edge or toe edge skid and beeing able to do turns on a green slope.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> The meeting point is at the top of the prosneige nursery slope at the black flag « snowboard bronz ». You will be introduced to you instructor and the rest of the group. The instructor will then explain how the gear works. You will do your first slides in a straight line in the biginner area. After you get familiar with the balance you will be taught how to change directions. At first you might fall so the instructor will also give you different tips on how to get up. During your progression you will discover wich foot you have in front on the board (goofy or regular). Then we will start to learn how to control your speed on the back side edge. The instructor will then teach you how to cross the slop on the back and front side edge. Once you start getting confortable with that you will be taught on how to control speed on your toe edge, the instructor will help you with the toe edge skid. We will then practice the transition between the toe and heel edge postion to be able to link the turns. After you are able to ride down the slope doing both turns you will be taught your first flat tricks like 180 slides.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. BROWN BEAR 6 afternoons
<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your 5 or more years old has never skied before or just once, a couple of hours.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Discovering this new gear and environment, improving coordination, moving around with skis on in our kindergarten. Learning skills such as getting up, breaking the speed, stopping and do Snowplough turns on green slopes.<br> </p><p><strong>Weekly program :</strong> On the first day, your child gets to discover the ski school, and the kindergarten. He will meet the instructors and the other children of the group. After a warm up, the group will get acquainted with the ski equipment practicing on different practice set ups. Without skis at first, then one ski on, and once they are ready, with both ! They’ll use our private magic carpet and make their first slides, easy turns and stops in the Prosneige kindergarten. After a couple days, regarding the evolution, the children will be able to practice with their instructor on the beginner area, outside the kindergarten. They’ll learn how to safely use the big magic carpet of the resort and might also take a chairlift ! By the end of the week, they will proudly show you their new skills on green slopes ! <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> The lessons are taking place from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. <br> <strong>More :</strong> The Brown Bears group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and your child have the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on friday in the kindergarten. </p>

The Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau at 1860 m above sea level, and its skiable area enjoys maximum exposure to the sun. So enjoy a day’s skiing in the sun: up to 7 1/2 hours a day of sun in December, up to 11 hours a day in April. The French Weather Bureau has recorded an average of 300 days’ sunshine a year at the resort! Also, on a fine day, you can see 1/5e of France from Pic Blanc.
