<p><strong> Experience :</strong> Your child can control speed, turn using the toe and heel edge on green slopes.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Being able to do turns on blue slopes. Developing technique with vertical mouvement. Introduction to the snowpark, 180° slids and switch riding. Descovering more of the specific vocabulary of snowboarding. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> The meeting point is at the top of the prosneige nursery slope at the black flag « snowboard silver » Your children will meet the instructor and the rest of the group. After a quick check of their gear, they will start warming up on easy slops. The goal is to improuve your childrens turns to be able to ride blues slopes. They will learn some more freestyle, flat tricks, 180 slides, switch and the ollie/nollie. The instructor can also introduce them to the snowpark. You will also work on the snowboard vocabulary.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:00 to 16:30 before the 5th Feb and 17:00 after this date.<br> <strong>More :</strong> We are also proposing a full package with lunchtime, including a complete meal at the restaurant and activities with the instructors before the afternoon programs. The Silver Snowboard group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children (from 8 years old). Everybody progresses at their own paces and have the opportunity to change groups during the week. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in the pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>

The Alpe d’Huez is situated on a fully south-facing plateau at 1860 m above sea level, and its skiable area enjoys maximum exposure to the sun. So enjoy a day’s skiing in the sun: up to 7 1/2 hours a day of sun in December, up to 11 hours a day in April. The French Weather Bureau has recorded an average of 300 days’ sunshine a year at the resort! Also, on a fine day, you can see 1/5e of France from Pic Blanc.
