Ze Hero at Val Thorens

<p><strong>Your skiing background :</strong> You have more than 10 weeks of experience. You are at ease on all types of terrain and wish to deepen your technical knowledge.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong>Improve your technical skills on the slopes, in the bumps, off-piste and on all types of snow. Travel the 3 Valleys area on and off piste. Become a more versatile skier and expand your knowledge of the mountain.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong>On the first day, you meet your instructor and your group under the A4 flag. It is possible that there are several groups in your level. In this case, the instructors will harmonize the groups according to the experience and desires of each one. Once the groups are homogeneous, your ski instructor will suggest exercises to get you back on track. During the week, you will discover the 3 Valleys and the magnificent off-piste skiing of the region. The instructor will show you different exercises to practice carving turns or other types of advanced techniques and positions.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday (first day) from 10:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.<br> <strong>More :</strong> Class 4 adult ski group lessons are limited to 8 people. Everyone progresses at their own pace, and you have the option of changing groups during the week. The adult group ski lessons are excellent for progress. Indeed, the daily sessions allow you to come back on difficulties encountered the day before, and to improve technical points of your skiing. The group will be encouraging, and will help you challenge yourself</p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> 3 valleys Ski-pass is needed. Don't forget to take some water and snacks to keep your energy level up !!<br></p>

<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your child has done more than 8 weeks of skiing. He has a perfect control on all types of slopes, making large turns, and short turns on red runs. He knows how to ski safely in the resort, respecting the Safe skiers rules.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Be able to change the rhythm of his turns on a black slope, and enhance his carving technique. Evolve on varied terrain, link jumps in the snowpark. Always follows the safety rules on the slopes and is able to find his way around on a map, discussions about the "mountain culture".<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the Diamond Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize. They will be defined by the levels, age and wishes of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Throughout the week, the training will be focused on obtaining a more refined and efficient technique on all types of slopes and snow. The diversity of playgrounds will allow them to discover new sensations and improve while having fun. They practice skicross, learn techniques used in competitions, and continue to learn freestyle in the snowpark. They also acquire the vocabulary specific to each discipline and deepen their knowledge of ski and mountain culture.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:30 to 16:30. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:30 to 16:30. <br> <strong>More :</strong> We also offer a full package for lunchtime, including a complete meal at the restaurant and activities with the instructors before the afternoon programs. The group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own pace and your child has the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa in our chalet. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on Fridays, under the flag of your child’s group meeting point. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget their Skipass and a snack in their pocket for the break ! <br></p>

<p><strong>Experience :</strong> Beginner, your child has never tried snowboarding before or just a couple of hours (or on dry slopes).<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Controlling speed with heel side or toe side skid and beeing able to do both turns on a green slope.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> The meeting point is at the top of the prosneige nursery slope at the black flag « snowboard bronz ». He-she will be introduced to you instructor and the rest of the group. The instructor will then explain how the gear works. Your child will do his-here first slides in a straight line in the biginner area. After you get familiar with the balance he-she will be taught how to change directions. At first they might fall so the instructor will also give them different tips on how to get up. During their progression they will discover wich foot they have in front on the board (goofy or regular). Then we will start to learn how to control speed on the heel edge. The instructor will then teach them how to cross the slop on the back and front side edge. Once they start getting confortable with that they will be tought how the control speed on their toe edge. We will then practice the transition between the toe and heel side postion to be able to link the turns. After that, they are able to ride down the slope doing both turns.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:30 to 16:30. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:30 to 16:30.<br> <strong>More :</strong> We are also proposing a full package with lunchtime, including a complete meal at the restaurant and activities with the instructors before the afternoon programs. The Bronze Snowboard group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children (from 8 years old). Everybody progresses at their own paces and have the opportunity to change groups during the week. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in the pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>
