Ze Hero at Val Thorens

<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your child has done more than 8 weeks of skiing. He has a perfect control on all types of slopes, making large turns, and short turns on red runs. He knows how to ski safely in the resort, respecting the Safe skiers rules.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Be able to change the rhythm of his turns on a black slope, and enhance his carving technique. Evolve on varied terrain, link jumps in the snowpark. Always follows the safety rules on the slopes and is able to find his way around on a map, discussions about the "mountain culture".<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the Diamond Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize. They will be defined by the levels, age and wishes of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Throughout the week, the training will be focused on obtaining a more refined and efficient technique on all types of slopes and snow. The diversity of playgrounds will allow them to discover new sensations and improve while having fun. They practice skicross, learn techniques used in competitions, and continue to learn freestyle in the snowpark. They also acquire the vocabulary specific to each discipline and deepen their knowledge of ski and mountain culture.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:30 to 16:30. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:30 to 16:30. <br> <strong>More :</strong> We also offer a full package for lunchtime, including a complete meal at the restaurant and activities with the instructors before the afternoon programs. The group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own pace and your child has the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa in our chalet. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on Fridays, under the flag of your child’s group meeting point. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget their Skipass and a snack in their pocket for the break ! <br></p>

<p><strong>Your Experience :</strong> Beginner, you have never tried snowboarding before or just a couple of hours (or on dry slopes).<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Controlling speed with a heel edge or toe edge skid and beeing able to do turns on a green slope.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> The meeting point is at the top of the prosneige nursery slope at the black flag « snowboard bronz ». You will be introduced to you instructor and the rest of the group. The instructor will then explain how the gear works. You will do your first slides in a straight line in the biginner area. After you get familiar with the balance you will be taught how to change directions. At first you might fall so the instructor will also give you different tips on how to get up. During your progression you will discover wich foot you have in front on the board (goofy or regular). Then we will start to learn how to control your speed on the back side edge. The instructor will then teach you how to cross the slop on the back and front side edge. Once you start getting confortable with that you will be taught on how to control speed on your toe edge, the instructor will help you with the toe edge skid. We will then practice the transition between the toe and heel edge postion to be able to link the turns. After you are able to ride down the slope doing both turns you will be taught your first flat tricks like 180 slides.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday (first day) from 10:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Bronze Snowboard group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 adults (from 13 years old). Everybody progresses at their own paces and have the opportunity to change groups during the week. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in the pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>

He knows the different ski disciplines and has been introduced to some of them.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Develop new technical skills on the slopes, deepen his knowledge of the snowpark, make changes of rhythm on varied terrain while maintaining control. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, the skiers get to know their instructors and the other children in the Pro-rider level. The groups start together, warm up on skis and then harmonize. The groups will be divided according to the children's ability, age and desires. During the first half day, your child will get back on track with technical exercises set up by the instructor. Throughout the week, the training will be focused on the fact of evolving in safety in the resort in order to gain autonomy. Develop virtuosity skills, such as skiing on one ski, in reverse, without poles...and perfect the technique learned during the previous weeks of skiing. <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:30 to 16:30. <p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your 5 or more years old has never skied before or just once, a couple of hours.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Discovering this new gear and environment, improving coordination, moving around with skis on in our kindergarten. Learning skills such as getting up, breaking the speed, stopping and do Snowplough turns on green slopes.<br> </p><p><strong>Weekly program :</strong> On the first day, your child gets to discover the ski school, and the kindergarten. He will meet the instructors and the other children of the group. After a warm up, the group will get acquainted with the ski equipment practicing on different practice set ups. Without skis at first, then one ski on, and once they are ready, with both ! They’ll use our private magic carpet and make their first slides, easy turns and stops in the Prosneige kindergarten. After a couple days, regarding the evolution, the children will be able to practice with their instructor on the beginner area of Val Thorens, outside the kindergarten. They’ll learn how to safely use the big magic carpet of the resort and might also take a chairlift ! By the end of the week, they will proudly show you their new skills on green slopes ! <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday (first day) from 10:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Brown Bears group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and your child have the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa in our chalet. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on friday in the kindergarten. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget to put a snack in their pocket for the break and their teddys or binky if needed ! <br></p>
