Ze Hero at Val Thorens

<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your children have a couple of days to a week of experience. They know how to put the skis on, and get up by themselves. They know how to change direction with the snowplough position and stop on green slopes.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Do Snowplough turns on green slopes, discover what “Parallel skis” means, move around easily with skis on using side stepping and duck climb.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, your child gets to know the instructors and the other members of the White Bear level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize on the big magic carpets in front of our school. The groups will be defined by the levels and age of the children. As they learn new skills and improve during the week, they will practice with their instructor on green and blue slopes as well as the fun park. They will be using cabinlifts and chairlifts. The beginner ski pass is mandatory on the first day. <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:30 to 16:30. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:30 to 16:30. <br> <strong>More :</strong> We also offer a full package for lunchtime, including a complete meal at the restaurant and activities with the instructors before the afternoon programs. The White Bears group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own pace and your child has the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa in our chalet. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on Fridays, at the top of our kindergarten. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget their Skipass and a snack in their pocket for the break ! <br></p>

<p><strong>Your experience :</strong> Not for complete beginner, it is recommended to have some experience in skiing first.<br> <strong>Lesson goals :</strong> Our instructors will safely guide you around and show you some of the best off-pistes in the 3 Valleys. They will adapt to your experience and the snow condition to safely try to meet your expectations. The instructor will prepare an itinerary and the safety equipment needed but also teaching you how to use this equpiment and the current safety rules that must be respected.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> The 2 hours off-piste afternoon lessons are from 12:30pm to 14:30pm.<br> </p><p><strong>More :</strong> The customized offer is adapted to the client's needs. You can set the meeting point with your instructor directly in front of your accomodation and even choose the instructor you would like. </p> <strong>Remarks :</strong> Backpacks with a set of safety equipment (avalanche transceivers, shovels and probes) are lent by the instructor. Ski-pass still needed, you might bring a snack, a bottle of water and a camera for the memories.<br>

<p><strong> Experience :</strong> Your child can control speed, turn using the toe and heel edge on green slopes.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Being able to do turns on blue slopes. Developing technique with vertical mouvement. Introduction to the snowpark, 180° slids and switch riding. Descovering more of the specific vocabulary of snowboarding. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> The meeting point is at the top of the prosneige nursery slope at the black flag « snowboard silver » Your children will meet the instructor and the rest of the group. After a quick check of their gear, they will start warming up on easy slops. The goal is to improuve your childrens turns to be able to ride blues slopes. They will learn some more freestyle, flat tricks, 180 slides, switch and the ollie/nollie. The instructor can also introduce them to the snowpark. You will also work on the snowboard vocabulary.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> Improving carving turns on blue and red slopes. Learning some freestyle, flat tricks, 180° jump and switch. Introduction to the snowpark.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> The lessons are taking place from 14:30 to 16:30.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Silver Snowboard group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children (from 8 years old). Everybody progresses at their own paces and have the opportunity to change groups during the week. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in the pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br></p>

<p><strong> Your snowboarding background :</strong> You are a complete beginner, an expert carver or anything in between.<br> </p><p><strong> Lessons goal :</strong> Private lessons are the best option if you want a personalized approach to snowboarding. Learn the basics of snowboarding or improve as quickly as possible, try out freestyle, build your confidence, or discover the area with an instructor. <br> </p><p><strong> More :</strong> The instructor can meet you at the ski room of your hotel or in front of your apartment to start the lesson. A customized snowboard lesson, at your own pace, with an instructor just for you. If you wish, you can choose your instructor according to your desires and his or her field of expertise. </p> <p><strong>Do not forget:</strong> Val Thorens or 3 Vallées skipass according to what you want to do, and a bottle of water.<br></p>
