Ze Hero at Val Thorens

"<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your children have skied in between 2 and 4 weeks. They are confident on blue slopes and start to turn parallel.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Make parallel turns on blue slopes, master the side slipping technique, anticipate ground movements and be able to do some skating to move around. Ski with poles without them to be a struggle. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the 2nd Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize on a blue slope. The groups will be defined by the levels and age of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back on easy slopes. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Those exercises will facilitate their parallel turns on blue slopes. Regarding the evolution, they will get introduced to red slopes. They will speak more in depth of the Safe skiers rules. <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> The lessons are taking place from 14:30 to 16:30.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The 2nd ski group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and children have the opportunity to change groups during the week. They can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa in our chalet. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on fridays, under the 2nd ski meeting point flag. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget the ski-pass for the chairlifts, a little snack in their pocket for the break and sunscreen for the sunny days!<br>"</p>

He can manage to stop quickly in every situation. He knows how to ski safely according to the Safe skiers rules. <br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> First steps toward becoming a versatile skier. Perfect control, carving and short turns on red slopes. Introduction to freestyle and how to behave in the snow park.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> On the first day, they get to know their instructors and the other children of the Bronze Ski level. All the groups will start together, warmup and harmonize. The groups will be defined by the levels, age and wishes of the children. During the first half day your child will get his technique and confidence back. Day after day, they will learn new skills thanks to the exercises and games set up by the instructor. The group will practice on different terrains that will help the children improve while having fun. Those exercices will improve their posture on red and black slopes and different kinds of snow. <p><strong> Experience :</strong> Beginner, your child has never tried snowboarding before or just a couple of hours (or on dry slopes).<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Controlling speed with heel side or toe side skid and beeing able to do both turns on a green slope.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> The meeting point is at the top of the prosneige nursery slope at the black flag « snowboard bronz ». He-she will be introduced to you instructor and the rest of the group. The instructor will then explain how the gear works. Your child will do his-here first slides in a straight line in the biginner area. After you get familiar with the balance he-she will be taught how to change directions. At first they might fall so the instructor will also give them different tips on how to get up. During their progression they will discover wich foot they have in front on the board (goofy or regular). Then we will start to learn how to control speed on the heel edge. The instructor will then teach them how to cross the slop on the back and front side edge. Once they start getting confortable with that they will be tought how the control speed on their toe edge. We will then practice the transition between the toe and heel side postion to be able to link the turns. After that, they are able to ride down the slope doing both turns.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday (first day) from 10:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Bronze Snowboard group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 adults (from 13 years old). <p><strong>Experience :</strong> Your child can control speed, turn using the toe and heel edge on green slopes.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Being able to do turns on blue slopes. Developing technique with vertical mouvement. Introduction to the snowpark, 180° slids and switch riding. Descovering more of the specific vocabulary of snowboarding. <br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> The meeting point is at the top of the prosneige nursery slope at the black flag « snowboard silver » Your children will meet the instructor and the rest of the group. After a quick check of their gear, they will start warming up on easy slops. The goal is to improuve your childrens turns to be able to ride blues slopes. They will learn some more freestyle, flat tricks, 180 slides, switch and the ollie/nollie. The instructor can also introduce them to the snowpark. You will also work on the snowboard vocabulary.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday (first day) from 10:00 to 12:00, Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 12:00.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Silver Snowboard group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 adults (from 13 years old).
