Ze Hero at Val Thorens

<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your 5 or more years old has never skied before or just once, a couple of hours.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Discovering this new gear and environment, improving coordination, moving around with skis on in our kindergarten. Learning skills such as getting up, breaking the speed, stopping and do Snowplough turns on green slopes.<br> </p><p><strong>Weekly program :</strong> On the first day, your child gets to discover the ski school, and the kindergarten. He will meet the instructors and the other children of the group. After a warm up, the group will get acquainted with the ski equipment practicing on different practice set ups. Without skis at first, then one ski on, and once they are ready, with both ! They’ll use our private magic carpet and make their first slides, easy turns and stops in the Prosneige kindergarten. After a couple days, regarding the evolution, the children will be able to practice with their instructor on the beginner area of Val Thorens, outside the kindergarten. They’ll learn how to safely use the big magic carpet of the resort and might also take a chairlift ! By the end of the week, they will proudly show you their new skills on green slopes ! <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> The lessons are taking place from 14:30 to 16:30. <br> <strong>More :</strong> The Brown Bears group lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 children. Everybody progresses at their own paces and your child have the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa in our chalet. The traditional medal awarding ceremony is taking place on friday in the kindergarten. </p>

<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> Your 3 / 4 years old has never skied before.<br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Discovering this new gear and environment, moving around with skis on in our kindergarten, learning skills such as breaking the speed, or stopping and improving coordination.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> The lessons are taking place from 14:30 to 16:30.<br> </p><p><strong>Weekly program :</strong> On the first day, your child gets to discover the ski school, the Petit Ours’s room ( the room dedicated to the small kids,where the meeting point is ) and the kindergarten. He will meet the instructors and the other children of the group. After a warm up, the group will get acquainted with the ski equipment practicing on different practice set ups. Without skis at first, then one ski on, and once they are ready, with both ! They’ll use our private magic carpet and make their first slides under supervision of our team in the Prosneige kindergarten.<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Little Bears group lessons are limited to a maximum of 6 children (3-4 years old). Everybody progresses at their own paces and your child has the opportunity to change groups during the week. Children can also enjoy some breaks and warm themselves up with a hot cocoa in our Petit Ours room. On Friday, enjoy the traditional award ceremony, where they’ll proudly receive their first medal ! </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget to put a snack in their pocket for the break and their teddys or binky if needed ! <br></p>

<p><strong>The activity :</strong> From 5 years old. Your children will set out on an adventure to discover the mountains in another way with this “Igloo Experience”! <br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> The activity is taking place everyday from 17:00 to 19:00 meeting point at the Prosneige shop Les Ménuires.<br> </p><p><strong>More :</strong> A nice moment of laughs and share with the other children of the group and the instructors. After the building activity a hot cocoa is served as a treat. It’s also an opportunity for parents to have a moment for themselves....</p> <strong>Remarks :</strong> The children must be especially equipped to face cold and/or snowy conditions.<br>

<p><strong>Skiing background :</strong> You have never skied before or just once, a couple of hours. On snow or on dry slopes. <br> <strong>Goals of the week :</strong> Discover the environment, and the ski gear. Move around skis on, with ease. Ski down green slopes using snowplough turns.<br> </p><p><strong>Week's program :</strong> Your week begins under the “Beginner” flag where you’ll meet your ski instructor and the group. You will then walk towards an easy part of the beginner area ( just a couple of meters below the meeting point ) where you’ll start your skiing journey. The instructor will show you different exercises to practice. With one ski on, then two. On a flat terrain, uphill, and finally, when you’re ready downhill. You’ll learn how to turn and stop, and take the moving carpet to get to the top of the slope. You will gain confidence and skills to get safely to the next level.<br> </p><p><strong>Hours :</strong> Sunday morning lessons are from 10:00 to 12:00, afternoon from 14:30 to 16:30. From Monday to Friday, morning lessons are from 9:00 to 12:00 and afternoon lessons are from 14:30 to 16:30.&lt;<br> <strong>More :</strong> The Beginner group ski lessons are limited to a maximum of 8 adults. Everybody progresses at their own paces and you have the opportunity to change groups during the week. You can also enjoy some breaks and warm yourself up in our chalet on the slopes. Group lessons are an excellent choice. Indeed, the daily sessions allow you to improve the technical points of your skiing and to overcome the difficulties you encountered the day before. </p> <p><strong>Remarks :</strong> Don't forget your beginner skipass, a snack to keep your energy level up and sunscreen!<br></p>
